Nick's success has been multiplied several fold since his last album attempt. "What's Left of Me" has soared from #33 to #6 this past week on the Billboard 100. On Radio and Records pop charts, the song rises from #16 to #14. Nick never did so well in the charts on his first album. A little publicity never hurts.

Nick still loves Jessica

Nick says his divorce from Jessica Simpson is a "nasty situation," but he's not trying to hurt her with his revelations about their split and, he still loves her. In his MTV Special "Nick Lachey: What's Left of Me," which aired in late April, Nick said, "It's not fun. … So, it's not in any way vindictive or an assault on her. In a lot of ways, it's more of an assault on me. Jessica knows I still love her."

As a result of the breakup, the former boy band star says he's "more guarded. I can't be as open with people because I've been burned."

He says his "biggest fear is being alone" and feeling like he'll "never find that person that you're looking for, especially when you thought you had it."

Still, Lachey remains hopeful. He says, "Do I believe that I'll fall in love again one day? I certainly hope so. I certainly hope I'm not going to be the jerk, uncle, bachelor the rest of my life. You know, it's not what I envisioned for myself, but at the same time, when I got married, that was it for me, you know, that was my life."

Jessica mad?

Jessica Simpson is reportedly still seething about Nick Lachey spilling so much during recent interviews and in his new video. The workaholic blonde reportedly has had it and has cut Nick off.

“Jessica doesn’t want Nick in her life. She thinks he’s toxic,” an insider tells Life & Style Weekly.

Now hope for reconciliation is all but gone, reports the magazine. Even a distant friendship between Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey now seems unlikely in the wake of Nick’s tell-all Rolling Stone interview, in which he implies that Jess cheated on him and says he was shocked when Jess asked for a divorce.

“Now everyone is looking at me like I’m a whore,” Jess told a pal. Another insider tells the weekly that Jess doesn’t even want to hear Nick’s name and has told friends not to utter it in her presence. “I wouldn’t care that much if things hadn’t been going well between us lately. But from now on, I will not talk to him.” Jessica told a friend.
